Terms & Conditions effective as of February 15, 2025.
1. Introduction
AM Accountants (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a trading name of AM (Preston) Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 7379568). We are registered to carry out audit work and regulated for a range of investment business activities by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of our services to you (“the client”). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Scope of Services
We offer a wide range of accounting and financial services, including but not limited to:
- Tax Planning and Compliance
- Bookkeeping and Payroll Services
- Business Start-Up Support
- Auditing
- Company Secretarial Services
- Corporate Finance
- Corporate Recovery
- Fee Protection
- VAT Services
- Wealth Management
The specific services to be provided will be outlined in a separate engagement letter or agreement.
3. Client Responsibilities
To enable us to perform our services efficiently, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and timely information as required.
- Maintain proper records and documents as mandated by law.
- Inform us promptly of any changes in your financial circumstances or other relevant information.
4. Fees and Payment Terms
Our fees are determined based on the complexity and scope of the services provided. Details of our fees and payment schedule will be outlined in the engagement letter. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within 30 days of issuance. Late payments may incur interest at the prevailing statutory rate.
5. Confidentiality
We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all client information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). We will not disclose your information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law or as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
6. Limitation of Liability
While we strive to provide services with reasonable care and skill, our liability to you for any claims arising out of or in connection with our services shall be limited to the amount of fees paid for the specific service in question. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
7. Professional Obligations
As members of the ACCA, we adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards. We are subject to periodic practice assurance reviews and are bound by the ACCA’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the engagement by providing written notice as stipulated in the engagement letter. Upon termination, you agree to settle any outstanding fees for services rendered up to the termination date.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be communicated to you in writing or via our website.
